So...

Fine, I'll keep blogging.  Kind of.

1. John is superfit.  We've been doing p90x.  I'm doing well, too, but I nice to keep a nice balance and have continued my love affair with ice cream, pie, etc.

2.  Annika started kindergarten.  She loves the bus, recess, gym, singing time and library time.  She can read and we've just started reading Harry Potter together. She has a very good musical ear and she can sound out 15 songs.  She has taught them to herself by plunking until she gets the right note.  It doesn't take her very long.  My favorite is the Imperial March from Star Wars.

3. Jacob is in preschool and likes writing stories, dancing/kung fu to music, playing with friends and riding his scooter and bike.  He loves going places with just John, even if its just Home Depot.  He is as tall as Annika and we frequently get asked if they are twins.  He is funny and loves to make us laugh.  His funniest moments are always unintentional and usually are funny because John's mind is in the gutter.  (And maybe mine is too.)  For example: He has Toy Story underwear and usually only wears underwear around the house.  He also has a Woody "action figure" that is about 3 inches tall.  He was wearing his Woody underwear with his Woody doll tucked into them at a jaunty angle and walked around the house proudly telling us to look at his Woody while thrusting his pelvis towards us for better display.  I know, questionable story.  We can't even tell him why this is a funny story until he's ... how old?

4. Emily.  Emily, Emily, Emily.  Big hazel eyes, curly, curly hair and a big scrunched-up-face smile.  she talks and talks and talks and occasionally actually says something.  She snuggles and kisses and loves to be tickled and spun around.  She loves when John throws her into the air.  With a vaulted ceiling and a husband who is 6'4", she ends up 8 ft in the air.  My heart stops a little each time.  With all this cuteness, its hard to imagine that she is driving me nuts!  The garbage and the toilet are her favorite spots and anywhere else that "productivity" is going on.

And now some pictures!

What a great update. Loved every bit of it. Jacob looks soooo old - well, for a three year old, anyway. The last time I saw him he had just turned one. Great stories and pics. Miss you all!
