Did I say extravaganza?

So... we only took 3 pictures. 10 days of travel and friends and family and we took 3 pictures. We are so pathetic. We did, however, take a number of videos, but I haven't learned how to put them up yet, so that will be later.
Here is Annika in the kiddie pool that Gran bought. SHE LOVED IT! (Annika, not Gran.)

So:
Annika loved Oscar dog, who also loved her. She wasn't sure about Zephyr, who most definitely did NOT like her. (JEALOUS!)
Annika loved the cats, they would have nothing to do with her.
But, most of all, she loved the chickens!! She would take off running right into the middle of a crowd and watch them scatter and try to chase one of them. Good thing chickens are faster than a toddler. There was a spot under the porch where some of the chickens would go and she desperately wanted to join them. I didn't think anyone would fare very well if she followed them.
Amongst the humans, Uncle Peter was, as usual, her very favorite, but she was gracious enough to bestow her smile and flirting with all.

We spent several days visiting some of my family and friends. We were able to stay with Aunt Jane and Uncle Dana.We met Ben's fiancee, Emily. We were privileged to see Aria's one day old baby girl, Sydney. (BEAUTIFUL mom and baby!) We spent time with my Grandma, Aunt Becky, my cousin Malinda and her cute boy Mason, my friends Ginny, Beth and Brooke, and even saw my Aunt Moyne. We drove up into Provo canyon and walked around Sundance. Heaven! We made it to a few hours of the family reunion on John's side of the family. All in all, we had a great time. And, no, we got NO pictures of any of it. Pathetic.

We are home and happy and gearing up for our trip to New York in August. I'll try to remember to take out the camera there! We are dreading the plane ride as Annika was not enthusiastic about our return trip from Utah.

Here are a few more pictures of Annika from before our trip. I put a cute pair of shorts on her, but didn't notice immediately. Here is the really funny result!

Here she is with a princess cape?

So, it may not have all been trip related, maybe it was pretty extravagant after all!

I am amazed! Out of the three pictures that you did take on your trip, you were able to catch a picture of that elusive person named Peter. What a feat! O.K., I guess his face was not towards the camera, but it is a great feat non the less. At least that is my educated guess as to the person in the first photo with Miss Annika.

Videos! Easy peasy. Set up a YouTube account, upload 'em there, and then cut and paste the HTML code YouTube provides into your blog post.

Annika is so BIG! I can just picture her going after those chickens. I'm sure there was squawking and flapping and toddler shrieking...wish I could have been there! (Beth had the same thing about squirrels, which are also faster than a toddler but not nearly as loud or entertaining as chickens.)

Annika is big in personality, but at 16 months, she's still only 18 lbs! What were Beth or Sara at that age?

WORLD'S CUTEST BABY!! Well, you know, now that mine are no longer babies. I can't have them thinking I'm disloyal to them. But man, that is one cute kid you have there. I can't wait to see her in just a few short weeks!

p.s. I'm jealous you got to see so many of our wonderful relatives recently. We need to have another family reunion!
