We have a nice big window in our family room that lets in light and lets us look at our trees (or the back of our neighbors houses, in winter.) Anyway, I like this window. And so do, apparently, the robins. Actually, I can't tell if its one or several, but it/they have flown into the window, and bounced right back off, over 50 or more times in the last hour. The robin is sitting on a branch, as I write, less than 10 feet away from the window. I've closed the blinds, opened them, stood menacingly and unappealingly in the window. I just don't know what they/it thinks is in here that worth the repeated bonk on the head.
Anybody?

The bird can not see you. If you go outside and look at your window, you will probably see a loverly reflection of a tree, which the bird is attempting to fly to. Unfortunately, I have yet to figure out how to prevent them from bashing in their little skulls. (I guess that is where the term "bird brain" comes from.)
It would have to be something from the outside, as an awning or a film on the window to distort the reflection.
Aha! I thought of the possibility of a reflection, I just thought it was his own. I never thought about the tree. Brilliant Bee!
